1Who these terms are with

These Terms of Use govern your access to this website and the public Signal verifier (together, the “Site”), operated by Veranox Systems Private Limited, a company incorporated in India with its registered office in Chennai, Tamil Nadu (“Veranox,” “we,” “us”). Using the Site means you accept them. If you do not, do not use the Site.

2Acceptable use

Use the Site lawfully. Specifically, do not:

• Interfere with, probe or disrupt the Site, its security or the systems behind it.
• Forge, tamper with or misrepresent a Signal or a verification result.
• Scrape or harvest at a scale that degrades the service, or in a way that works around access controls.
• Use the verifier to imply an endorsement, an affiliation or an outcome that a Signal does not actually attest.

3The public verifier

The verifier lets anyone confirm a Signal by checking its Ed25519 signature. It needs no account, it returns whether the Signal is valid and the competence bands it attests, and it returns no personal data. Use it freely for genuine verification. It is deliberately built so that you do not have to trust us in order to trust the result — the signature is checkable independently of anything we say.

4What a Signal means — and its limits

A Signal is a cryptographically signed record that a defined competence was demonstrated and graded to a stated band. Its scope is limited as follows:

• It attests demonstrated, graded competence — not attendance, not completion, not a self-claim.
• It cannot be self-issued. It is signed only after assessed demonstration.
• A valid signature confirms authenticity and integrity at the time of issue. It is not a guarantee of future performance, of an employment outcome, or of fitness for a particular role.
• Bands describe competence at the point it was assessed. Where a validity window applies, the Signal carries it.
• Assessment is not proctored. A Signal attests what was demonstrated in the work submitted; it does not certify the conditions under which that work was produced.
• No person marked it. Marking is deterministic where the question has a fixed answer and model-graded against a rubric where it does not. There is no examiner, moderator or second marker anywhere in the pipeline.
• Coding scores never back a Signal. Coding tasks run their tests in the candidate's own browser, so that score is the candidate's own account of their own work. We record it as client-reported and bar it from backing a Signal.

5Decisions you make are yours

If you hire, admit, shortlist or reject someone having looked at a Signal, that decision is yours. Veranox is not a party to it, does not make it with you, and accepts no liability for it. A Signal is evidence to weigh, not a verdict to apply.

6Intellectual property

The Site and its contents are owned by Veranox or licensed to us. The following in particular are ours:

• The Gradium Index methodology — the eight competence clusters, the grading model and the Readiness computation.
• The Signal standard — its structure, format and verification scheme.
• The Veranox and GradiumOS names and marks, and the line “Turning Learning into Verifiable Competence.”

Do not copy, adapt or reuse them, except to verify a Signal as intended or as we permit in writing. Nothing here restricts a learner from using, showing or sharing their own Signal. It belongs to the learner.

7Availability, accuracy and liability

We publish this Site as we bring GradiumOS to its first pilot institutions. We work to keep it accurate and available, but we provide it on an “as available” basis and may change, suspend or withdraw features without notice. To the extent the law permits, we exclude implied warranties and limit our liability for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the Site. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded in India.

8Pilot agreements take precedence

These Terms cover the public Site. If your institution has a signed pilot or licence agreement with us, that agreement governs the product, the data, the service levels and the commercial terms, and it prevails over anything on this page where the two differ.

9Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with the Site or these Terms.

10Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. The version published here, dated at the top of the page, is always the current one. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
